I’m doing preliminary orthographic sketches of an RC rollcage I want to build at some point. The idea is to build the rollcage and put all the mechanical components inside. Just something I can roll about. I want it to be something like a King Of The Hammers rock racer.

Good work! Though it’s way too neat and clean to be an engineer’s drawing.
Source: I’ve done a whole bunch of them as part of my engineering school. And I also had a couple question in my competitive examination before after prep school (like around 4 to 5 hours to make them). I hate them now.

Food for thought, look up some existing Ultra4 buggies for cage ideas. Also, for your own sanity when you weld/braze it all together, the less complex the design, the better.

Hmm, I’m liking the spare tire placement on the last one.

I recall my friends Traxxas Rustler with the Velineon brushless system with the roll cage. It had so much monentum and crazy amounts of flip protection. I swear, if that crashed into another RC car, it would tear off one quarter of supension.

you should take the upc sticker off your pencil. also i am also a nerd for drawing things like that.
